Sun Life Assurance | 48 Melville Street, Edinburgh

Description

Refurbishment of ground floor, lower ground floor and common stair within 48 Melville Street, installing new M&E throughout, mechanical plant, drainage, service riser, insulation work, plasterwork, decoration, floor finishings and ironmongery.

The Full Works Compromised of:

• New M&E installation throughout inc lighting, power, data, security, FA’s, ventilation, heating, drainage and water supplies
• New mechanical plant within the external rear yard inc new metal/timber fence enclosure
• New drainage within the external rear yard to accommodate future work
• Creation of service riser for future maintenance works

Scottish Legal Complaints Commission, Capital Building

Description

This construction project comprises of alterations and refurbishment of over 3,000 sq ft of Cat B of the existing level 4 floorplate within the Capital Building

The full works comprised:

  • Strip out works – Ceilings, floor coverings
  • Remove existing M&E services i.e., luminaires, fire alarm, security, data, vent, power, pipework
  • Fit electrical luminaires to the project including power, security, data and fire alarm to all areas
  • Fit all new mechanical vent, pipework, above ground drainage and tie in were required
  • Supply and fit suspended ceilings, plasterboard ceilings and new door kits where required
  • Install new/old tea-preps
  • Supply and fit new glazed Komfort screens, new skirtings and facings to match existing
  • Decoration, including ames taping/prep work to all walls and ceiling surfaces
  • Install all new wall coverings
  • Supply and fit new floor coverings and install new wall tiling

The client and their design team have created a flexible and professional working environment for SLCC. The organisation is downsizing its office space, following a substantive programme of work to develop new ways of working, investment in upgraded IT infrastructure and a drive to digital to improve efficiency and reduce the need for physical storage. The move will achieve a £500,000 saving in costs over the next five years.

Burness Paull, Aberdeen

Description

The work comprises the internal fit out of the 2nd floor level of 2 Marischal Square in Aberdeen. The scope of the project is to include the formation of meeting room, break out and other amenity space, together with the associated modifications to the landlord mechanical and electrical installation inc. additional a/c services and alterations to the existing sprinkler system.

The full works comprised:

  • Strip out works and demolition
  • Mechanical and electrical works – Luminaires, fire alarm, security, ventilation, pipework, drainage, consumer units, alter sprinkler system and rooftop units, sanitary ware
  • Supply and fit – Suspended ceilings, plasterboard ceilings, acoustics, skirtings, facings
  • Supply and install manufactured joinery items
  • Decoration, ames, wallpapering
  • Supply and fit new doors, floor coverings, kitchens, glazed screens, moveable Style partitions, blinds
  • Install new manifestations on glazed partitions
  • Alter raised access floor to new partitions and M&E
  • Supply and install new tiling to shower room.

This was our third major project for the client in a stunning new building. Covering over 10,000 sqft the stunning fit-out will accommodate over 100 staff in a modern and flexible workspace.

Sharkey, Roxburghe Hotel

Description

Working within the new hotel rooms and spa treatment rooms in Roxburgh Hotel’s stunning extension. Producing bespoke vanity units, wardrobes, benches, display cabinet, bed frames to compliment the hotel’s high specification finished.

  • Combined buffet and bench

An additional 58 new bedrooms and suites have been created, together with a large conference/events space for 120, with adjoining restaurant and bar. The fully-glazed ground floor elevation, which affords views into the state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre, is transected by a spectacular indoor/outdoor swimming pool – a remarkable and rare feature in a rural Scottish location.
