Cockburn Museum UoE

The scope of works comprised of the alterations and refurbishment to the existing Cockburn Museum (Level 3) for the University of Edinburgh. Main works included minor M&E works, internal finishing’s, partitions, flooring, ceiling and decoration to existing museum space and kitchen. Special care was required in relation to safety within the live and operational environment keeping all entrances and fire exits clear and free from obstruction at all times.

The works comprised:

• Strip out of existing fixtures along with flooring, and M&E services
• Minor demolition and alteration works
• Formation of new partitions and tea prep area
• Installation of new fixtures and fittings throughout
• Installation of new lighting
• Floors finishes and decoration

Noise level was kept to a minimum to avoid any disturbances with existing residential and educational property adjacent to the site.
