Robotarium, Heriot Watt University

Another project successfully delivered and another very satisfied client. The new Robotics Laboratory & Workshop within the Earl Mountbatten Building for Heriot Watt University completed and handed over on programme earlier this week. The new Human-Robot-Interaction (HRI) Laboratory and a Land Robot space for students and research was formed from the refurbishment and transformation of existing high voltage and observation laboratories including the installation of a new mezzanine floor for study and conference accommodation. SJS are delighted to have delivered another quality project for our valued client HWU working in partnership with ECD Architects, Harley Haddow (Structural Engineers), Keegans Group (Cost Consultants) and Morgan Sindall (M&E Consultants).

John Coulson building, Heriot Watt University

We are delighted to have been awarded the refurbishment of the NG10 Laboratory Space at the John Coulson building, Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. We look forward to working successfully in partnership with ECD Architects, Cundall, KJ Tait Engineers, Summers Inman and Keegans Group in providing quality upgraded facilities in this latest project for our valued client Heriot Watt University.

Sheraton One Spa, Manufactured Joinery

The alteration and refurbishment of the treatment area within the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa is progressing well. The finishing touches are being applied to bespoke joinery items, cabinetry and furniture currently being installed. The images show bespoke manufactured items which were produced by SJS in our state of the art production facility.

Over 1000 joinery items!

The finishing touches are being applied to case goods and bespoke furniture produced in our specialist joinery manufacturing facility as part of a prestigious project for our valued client Sharkey. In total over 1000 joinery items and case goods are being produced and refurbished.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2017

As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2017 one of our apprentices, Libby Hartley, attended the “My World of Work Live!” event this week organized by CITB and Heriot Watt University. Libby gained a valuable insight into the world of construction by completing virtual reality challenges where she was in charge of building new homes.

National Galleries of Scotland, GMA One

We are pleased to have secured the alterations, refurbishment and fit-out project for existing rooms in the Gallery of Modern Art One for the National Galleries of Scotland.
