Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As assistant QS you will be working on small to medium size fit out projects working from both a main contractor and subcontractor perspective. Most of their work will be high-end internal fit out within the educational (schools and university) and commercial office space, and you will be responsible for administering and managing the subcontracts on these projects. From procurement of subcontractors to managing your client relationship, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of your projects. You will be part of a tight-knit, supportive commercial team with a strong focus on career development as their business grows. Our client win most of their work through existing relationships and negotiated tenders, so exceptional client communication skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will have completed their degree in quantity surveying and be ideally working within a fit out contractor at the moment and have at least 1 year’s full time post grad experience. Perhaps you are working within a contractor, and you are looking for something a bit more professional and who are committed to supporting your ongoing career development. Our client is based in modern offices around Edinburgh and can demonstrate exceptional business growth over the past 6 to 7 years.
