Our skilled Bench Hand Joiners, Wood Machinists and French Polishers have a wealth of professional experience. Our diverse manufacturing portfolio ranges from bespoke reception desks and furniture for the leisure industry to bookcases, seating booths, media walls, wood panelling and products for the retail sector all designed by leading UK architects and designers.

Our CAD Design team are the skilled bridge between the requirements of a clients design team and production, transforming ideas or concept sketches through detailed design development into the complex technical manufacturing drawings required to achieve the high specification bespoke products that we produce.

Our Work

FAQs

Originally, 'Specialised Joinery Services'. This no longer encapsulates our full offering. For many years we have provided fit out and refurbishment services as a Main Contractor in addition to bespoke manufactured joinery.

We manufacture for SJS Projects, Main Contractors and end user clients direct. The sectors we work within are commercial, luxury residential, education, retail and leisure.

As of 2019, SJS have a strong workforce of over 45. This includes over 15 employees in the workshop.

SJS have four in-house CAD design engineers who will work with clients and their design teams to create detailed drawings to enable production.

SJS works with a variety of materials to suit each individual project. We are capable of manufacturing all MDF's, plywoods, veneered MDF/ply, Solid Surface (we are an approved Corian® fabricator), stone surfaces and more.

We have an apprenticeship development programme which provides a Modern Apprenticeship for 1 to 2 local school leavers annually. We also recruit an adult apprentice every year. If you would like to know more, please contact us!
